Mount
Roraima
- One of the older places of the planet, mark the boundary
of the three countries of South America: Brasil, Venezuela
and Republic Cooperativista da Guiana, and it is cataloged
as the seventh point elevated most of the country, with
2.734,06 meters, in the Brazilian side, mensuration accomplished
by the IBGE
(Brazilian institute of geography and statistics) in joint
expedition with IME (military institute of engineering)
in the period from 24 to 26 June 2005. The name of the hill
is that gave origin to Roraima's State, from the expression
ROROI (green) and IMÃ (Mount), in the Pemon language
(indigenous that live in the south of Venezuela, of the
same etnos Taurepang, in Brasil).
